A landscape that surprises by its silence. Between Priorat and Montsant, at the end of Les Garrigues, we find this enclave of exultant nature. Time has always moved slowly in this land of vineyards, olive trees and aromatic plants. The Cistercian monks introduced the cultivation of the vine that has been shaping the landscape over the years with its rows of vines that today continue to produce a recognized and highly appreciated wine that can be enjoyed in one of the many wineries in the area that they pamper it and give it character.
The olive tree is the other great protagonist of this land. The oil offered by the cooperatives of these lands collects the essence of its traditional pressing. Without a doubt, we can enjoy the taste of an excellent and highly valued oil.
The Artists’ Vineyard is an idea of Guinovart. It became a reality thanks to the genius of a family that has allowed them to dream and commit to Les Garrigues as a picturesque and privileged setting for a unique project, an open-air museum.
La Viña de los Artistas fuses art and wine in an exhibition hall open to all. Sculptures and installations of great proportions are found here, born thanks to artists such as Carles Santos, Guinovart, Joan Brossa, Susana Solano, Evru (Zush) or Frederic Amat, among others. These unique pieces coexist freely among vines and olive trees. The winery becomes the culminating point of this particular artistic itinerary, the last stage of a tour that becomes an extraordinary experience for any visitor.
Since its inauguration in 2009, many creators have passed through La Viña de los Artistas, this open-air art gallery. And it is a perfect setting for poetry recitals, outdoor paintings, magic, clowns, opera, music of all kinds, dance, giant puppets, soap bubbles, theater… It is our way of linking wine and art and marking the territory with a subtle imprint, leaving an artistic heritage as a legacy and betting on art as a transformative element.
